Palmers City Manager, Nathan Wallace, Retires After Years of Service
PALMER, Alaska - The City of Palmer announced today that City Manager Nathan Wallace will be retiring after serving the community for approximately a decade. Wallace submitted his retirement letter to the City Council, effective March 31, 2023.
Wallace has dedicated his career to local government and has been instrumental in guiding the City of Palmer through significant progress and growth. During his tenure, he has overseen major infrastructure projects, financial management, and community development initiatives.
City of Palmer Seeking Applications for New City Manager
With Wallace's retirement, the City of Palmer is now accepting applications for the position of City Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, administrative, and financial management skills, along with a deep understanding of local government operations.
Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications by March 15, 2023. The City Council will conduct interviews during special city council meetings in April 2023.
The City Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the City of Palmer, including managing property, financial and human resources. The successful candidate will work closely with the City Council, department heads, and the community to ensure the City's goals and objectives are met.
