Mets Announcer Gary Cohen to Deliver Address

Seton Hall University will celebrate its 168th baccalaureate commencement ceremony on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Approximately 12 hours after calling the Mets series opener in Cleveland, New York Mets play-by-play announcer Gary Cohen will deliver the keynote address to the Seton Hall University Class of 2024 graduates.

Cohen has been the Mets' play-by-play announcer since 1989 and is widely regarded as one of the best in the business. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Ford C. Frick Award from the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2021.

In addition to his work with the Mets, Cohen has also called games for NBC, ESPN, and the YES Network. He is also the author of two books, "The Essential Gary Cohen" and "Cohen and Steel."

Seton Hall University is a private, Catholic university located in South Orange, New Jersey. The university was founded in 1856 and is home to over 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
